Ted Johnson
Ted Johnson is a criminal defense attorney in Atlanta GA. In order to exorcise the details and images of his most heinous cases; he began journaling his thoughts and emotions as his purging vehicle.
After some time, Ted noted many parallels between those he scribed about and some of his own family members and childhood friends. These revelations sparked the emotional chaos of anger, sadness, love and punitiveness; this ambivalent ball was the platform needed to facilitate understanding his loved ones.
Many years ago, a friend encouraged Ted to share his writings, ergo the publishing of two books Faces I Have Seen, Volume I and Faces I Have Seen, Volume II.
Ted's passion for writing was ignited, he began writing and producing stage plays and later screenwriting for film production.
Ted's films Here Comes the Sun and Atlanta Law can beviewed on Amazon Prime, Roku, Apple TV, Tubi, etc.

Congratulations to Angela Odom! Angela was chosen as Veteran of the Month in May 2024 in Clayton County, Georgia. Angela leaned into her experiences from the United States Military to help mold herself into an outstanding motivational speaker, teacher and leadership strategist who helps others to be the best possible versions of themselves.
I am so very proud to call her "cousin" and am looking forward to hearing her speak at our 60th annual gathering.

Snowie
The Sonniers donated a portable Snowie Ice Shaver and Flavor Station! In fact, they are providing everything but the ice! This will enable us to have shaved ice (snow cones) all weekend in Memphis.
The Sonniers are based in Atlanta and own Snowie Atlanta. If you live in the Atlanta Metro area, be sure to check them out and show your appreciation. They also have a "gourmet coffee experience", offer party rentals and services year round.
The Sonniers aspire to do big things in Atlanta, may God bless them in their endeavors.

Obituary
Clarise Mitchell, age 53 of Canton, and formerly of Massillon and Alliance, passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021.
She was born in Chicago on October 20, 1967 daughter of the late Lula Mae Odom.
Clarise was a home health aide and had worked at several nursing homes in the area.
She enjoyed watching movies, the outdoors, and traveling.
Clarise was a caring and loving mother to her family and is survived by sons Tremaine Sistrunk, Michael Sistrunk, Antwione Odom, and Deantre Odom, brothers, Michael McDaniels and James Odom, sister, Twanda; grandchildren, Cristian Sistrunk, Zahmyah Sistrunk, Michael Sistrunk Jr.and her father Alphonso Jones.
In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by sister Denise Odom and brother Willie C. Odom.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 4 to 7 P.M. at Heitger Funeral Home - Massillon Chapel.
Masks will be required as well as social distancing.

This story made national news and was published in varying accounts nationwide, I chose this account because it explains the most. This family is a giant web of families. Most of the lynched men were already known to me (Denise) and connected to us all in some way.
* Hugh Anderson was the husband of my "1st cousin, 4x removed" Ione Bonds Hansford.
* Henry Anderson was Hugh's his brother.
* Sim Haralson's widow was Sallie Bradford, she married Big Henry Holifield.

Adrianna Havvard!
Adrianna is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Gerald II and Adrienne Keys Beamon; she graduated from Tennessee State University of May 1, 2021 with a Bachelor's of Science in Dental Hygiene.
Adrianna recently passed the Clinical State Board and is preparing to take the written exam. Once she completes this endeavor, we will be begin her career as a Dental Hygienist.
